Transform Your Smile with Ceramic Veneers
Ceramic Veneers
What Are Ceramic Veneers?
Ceramic veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted from high-quality porcelain or ceramic materials. They are bonded to the front surface of your teeth to improve their shape, color, and overall appearance. Veneers can be used to correct a variety of cosmetic issues, including:
- Discolored or stained teeth that don’t respond to whitening
- Chipped or cracked teeth
- Uneven or worn teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Misshapen or slightly crooked teeth
Benefits of Ceramic Veneers
Natural Appearance: Ceramic veneers are designed to closely mimic the translucency and color of natural teeth. The result is a highly aesthetic, natural-looking smile that blends seamlessly with your existing teeth.
- Durable and Long-Lasting: Ceramic veneers are incredibly strong and can last 10-15 years or more with proper care. Unlike composite bonding, they are highly resistant to staining and wear, allowing you to maintain a brilliant smile for years to come.
Stain-Resistant: Porcelain or ceramic veneers are resistant to stains from coffee, tea, wine, and other foods, so you can enjoy a white, bright smile without worrying about discoloration over time.
Customized for You: Every set of veneers is custom-made to suit your individual teeth and smile. Dr. B. Duke works closely with skilled dental technicians to ensure your veneers are perfectly shaped and coloured to enhance your unique appearance.
Minimally Invasive: While a small amount of enamel is removed to place the veneers, the procedure is minimally invasive and preserves much of your natural tooth structure.
- Boosts Confidence: A beautiful smile can have a powerful impact on your confidence and self-esteem. Ceramic veneers can help you feel more self-assured in social and professional situations, giving you a reason to smile more often.

How Does the Process Work?
- Consultation: Dr. B. Duke will assess your teeth and discuss your goals. She will ensure that veneers are the right option for you and explain how they can enhance your smile. An intraoral scan and photos records will also be taken. Photos of the potential results can also be shown.
- Preparation: A small amount of enamel is gently removed from the front surface of your teeth to make room for the veneers. A 3D scan of your teeth are then taken and sent to a dental lab, where your custom veneers are created. A protype is fitted in the interim.
- Placement: Once your veneers are ready, Dr. B. Duke will carefully bond them to your teeth, ensuring a precise fit and beautiful finish. Any final adjustments will be made to ensure comfort and appearance.
Ceramic Veneers vs. Composite Veneers: How Do They Compare?
Ceramic Veneers
Material: High-quality porcelain or ceramic for a natural, lifelike appearance.
Durability: Highly durable, lasting 10-15 years or more with proper care.
Stain Resistance: Resistant to staining from foods and drinks.
Appearance: More translucent and lifelike, closely mimicking the look of natural teeth.
Cost: Higher cost due to the custom lab work and durability.
Composite Bonding/Veneers
Material: Composite resin, which is applied directly to the tooth.
Durability: Typically lasts 5-7 years, may require touch-ups.
Stain Resistance: More prone to staining over time, similar to natural teeth.
Appearance: Slightly less natural in appearance, but can still achieve good results.
Cost: More affordable, but may require more frequent maintenance.
